PICBF Information

PICBF: Plainfield Invitational Concert Band Festival at Plainfield Central HS.


Concert Band A and Symphonic Band will peform at Plainfield Central on April 30.

Please read the PICBF Informational Handout here for details and a complete schedule.

Performance times:
Symphonic Band: 10:15am, Auditorium
Concert Band A: 2:00pm, Gym
Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for seniors and students.  Family rate is $15.  See the info handout link above for details.

***Students must complete a trip consent form no later than Tuesday, 4/26.  Students who are riding home with parents must complete an alternate transportation form as well.

  3. Flower Sale - We will be selling flowers this spring!  Flowers are something that MANY people purchase, and we hope you will decide to buy from us rather than from a retail store.  Several options are available.  Please click here for the sale information and order form.
  4. Scholarships - Information will be coming out Wednesday about Senior Scholarships and Summer Band Camp Scholarships which are offered by the Band Boosters.
    1. 2 Senior Scholarships (in the amount of $500 each) are open to all graduating seniors enrolled in band.   Recipients may use the money at the college/trade school of their choice regardless of intended major.  The application consists of 3 short answer and 1 essay question.  Winners will be announced at the Band Banquet.  Be sure to read the info packet (available Wednesday in class) carefully to be sure that all requirements are met.
    2. Band Camp Scholarships are open to all current 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students who will be continuing in band next fall.  Scholarships may be used to attend a non-PSHS music camp of the student's choice.  See the info form (available Wednesday in class) for details.

This is an opportunity to recognize your student individually for his/her accomplishments this year, to congratulate seniors as they near graduation, or acknowledge the hard work put forth by all the PSHS Band students during the 2010-2011 school year.
